FAQ

Questions, answered.

The essentials on REMS One, REMS VMS, compliance, integrations, and getting started.

What is the difference between REMS One and REMS VMS?

REMS One is the complete property operations platform: portfolio, leasing, billing, payments, finance, operations, and reporting. REMS VMS is a separate product for visitor management and gate security that integrates with REMS One and can be enabled per deployment.

Is REMS cloud-based, and does it work on mobile?

Yes. REMS runs in the browser and is an installable progressive web app, so field staff can use it on a phone, including an offline mode for tasks like meter readings and inspections at the gate or on site.

Does REMS handle KRA eTIMS and tax compliance?

Yes. Invoices and credit notes are auto-signed through eTIMS, and the platform handles VAT and rental-income withholding tax, including withholding certificates, so filing is right the first time.

Which banks and payment methods does REMS reconcile?

REMS reconciles direct bank feeds from I&M, Prime, DTB, and Victoria Commercial, matches M-Pesa payments by payment code, and syncs two ways with QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books.

Can I manage multiple properties, companies, and owners?

Yes. REMS is built for multi-property and multi-company portfolios, with data cleanly separated and multi-workspace switching by manager, owner, or property, plus consolidated reporting across the portfolio.

How is REMS priced?

REMS One is a single platform with optional modules you switch on as you grow. Pricing is tailored to your portfolio size and the modules you need. Tell us about your portfolio and we'll recommend a plan and a price.

Can you migrate our existing data?

Yes. REMS supports opening balances and bulk import of entities and units so you can go live with your existing tenants, leases, and balances in place.

Who is REMS for?

Landlords who want to see every shilling, family portfolios that need one clean view across many properties and companies, and property managers who run day-to-day operations.
